Zach Palmquist, who currently plays for the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, was named Defensive Player of the Week by coaches and staff of the Black Hawk organization. Palmquist had an assist in Friday night's 8-2 win over the Fargo Force and ended the game with a +3 in plus-minus. All four of the MSU commits on the Fargo Force were held scoreless in the game (Matt Leitner, Chase Grant, Corey Leivermann, and J.P. Burkemper).
Here is a clip of Zach Palmquist scoring a highlight reel goal while playing high school hockey for South Saint Paul. Enjoy.
